Johannes Mössinger, Andy Hunter, Adam Nussbaum,Martin Gjakonovski
„Best jazz concert of the year“, „Jazz from the top league“, the reviews about this quartet are full of enthusiasm and show a group, which found its own fascinating jazz style. Four exceptional musicians combine their art of playing to unforgettable compositions.
Jazz pianist and composer Johannes Moessinger has recorded and performed on the jazz scene since 1996. The beginning of his career was marked through his solo album „Spring in Versailles“ from 1998 and his CD Monk’s Corner from 2001 with Joe Lovano. In the meantime he is one of the important jazz piano players in Germany who worked with Joel Frahm, Seamus Blake, Boris Koslov, Don Braden, Kermit Driscoll, Karl Latham and Calvin Jones.
One of his particularly impressing project is the Johannes Moessinger quartet. The new sound with trombone player Andy Hunter (Member of the WDR-Bigband), Adam Nussbaum, one of the leading US drummers of today and Martin Gjakonovski on bass is an urban modern music, based on the compositions from Johannes Mössinger
